Ordered full cup tip punch set.

Post by In The Ten Ring » Sun Mar 15, 2015 6:34 pm

I just ordered the full Brownell's set. I spoke with Jim Green in MN and he thinks I should remove the trigger guard to my jammed Model 81 but he stressed which screws to not remove!

I am going to try and visit him when I get up that way...I think I'll take the rifle with me if I haven't fixed it by then.

Though you had suggestions for el cheepo solutions on the earlier post, believe you will be happy adding this quality set to your bench. A man can`t ever have too many tools.

Thanks man. The set came and I found the 3mm punches to be exactly what I needed. I removed the pin and out came the triggerguard.....but to my dismay.......I can't get the bolt to unlock. I'll run the weapon up to Maine after the ski trip to Vermont. I spoke with Jim Greene via phone and he has a long waiting list but at least I can look for Model 8's in pawn shops up there.

You are right, tools rock!

Hopefully, he can have a time to do what you need in your rifle. I am excited to see the complete rifle here soon. ;)
