hi guys, ive always loved the old model 8, ever sence i first saw the poster with the hunter on the cliff being hunted by a bear, at about 10 years of age, that was over 30 years ago, about 20 years ago i bought a model 8 at a yard sale for 50.00 dollers but it was missing a few parts and was in 30 remington so i never got it fixed but ive keep it as a wall hanger, but yesterday i found a model 81 in 300 savage for 200.00 dollers i cant wait to take her out
