Good Evening-

I am an Oregon born, SC resident (currently) but relocating to TX soon.

I am a big fan of early Browning firearms. I stumbled onto this website looking at patent prints and old advertisements for all things Browning and was hooked.

I recently finished an SBS Browning A5 my fiancé nicknamed "Bonnie" and am thinking I need a Model 81 project gun to complement it as "Lawman".

Welcome, nice wood on that restore.
I have a Savage (similar) I'm planning to duplicate the project. Found an old Alum Savage for parts, the barrel to cut down and add a Lyman adjustable choke, all on one of the nicely engraved steel frame sisters of the A5.... I could use a fiber optic front sight that would screw in the Lyman barrel mount that is brazed on the cut down barrel. The Lady will have an original barrel and an all purpose quick one too. Wish me luck.
