Hello from the Gunshine State

Hello from firearms-friendly Florida.
I found this site after seeing a Model 8 listed for local sale awhile back, and have found it a great resource. In fact, after reading dozens of posts here on these fascinating guns, I now own that rifle - a 1909 pre-Model 8 in .35 Rem. (yes, I'll post the obligatory pics in the appropriate section.)
I enjoy shooting everything from modern black guns to not-so-modern classics, but one rule I have is "no safe queens" - I will not own a gun too pretty (or expensive) to be used as intended.
I look forward to visiting more often, and hope to contribute to the discussion.
