Hi im looking for a Model 8 in 35 Remington. The reason I want one for is one I think they are great rifle and a great part of history and second is
if this rifle was never made in the 25 , 30 ,32 Remington I would have never designed the wildcat I did in my Left hand AR15 called the 358MGP
its parent case was the 30 Remington shortened and necked up to 35 cal. I ended up shortening the neck on the reamer so i can use 6.8 SPC small rifle primer brass to push it a little harder after stretching the primer pockets on the 30 Remington brass. This round in a 16.5" barrel does what a 35 Remington does in a 24" barrel. My accuracy load goes 2132fps with a 200gr Hornady FTX and shoots a .352" 5 shot group at 100 yards. Check out my site http://www.mgpcustoms.com
I want one in 35 Remington cause you can still buy factory ammo for it and I love 35 cal rifles . Thanks and im happy to become a member of this board that has a boat load of info . Thanks Mike

Welcome aboard!

I've never heard of the wildcat caliber 358MGP, sounds very cool! I hunt with an AR15 in 6.5 Grendel so I enjoy the "non 556" calibers.

Yah me too but I'm lefthanded and wanted
To build a med-bore AR15 that you could hunt
Most North American big game with so I designed
This one it's on the 6.8 forums and MSR forum
And on AR15.com. I started this project in 2007
And was shooting a prototype on 2008 I have
Barrels out there from Texas to Alaska and people
Are very happy with the way it puts down
Game and big hogs.
