Hi there...

Post by DEEREMEYER1 »

Hi Remington fans. I'm new to the forum and relatively new to the Model 8. I have a 1914 Grade C in .35 Remington. I handload for it and have found that it seems to like 200-grain Hornady Interlocks over 34 grains of 4064. To the tune of 1-1.5" groups at 50 yards. I plan to deer hunt with it this fall in southeast Nebraska. Are there any other Model 8 hunters around here? I might post some pics of my rifle but in the meantime there's some video of it on my YouTube channel DEEREMEYER1 on the "Reloading equipment and supplies and a few guns" video. I included my stripper clips and my M1 Garand.

Yes we hunt with the Model 8's, Model 81's and the FN 1900's. Happy to hear that you hunt with yours too.
