Greetings!
I just picked up a #8 that was made in 1912 and is in the .30 Remington.
It appears to be in pretty good shape but before it will be used, it will get a check-up.
I look foward from learning about these rifles from this group.

Welcome to the forum. Glad that you got your FIRST springpole. Feel free to ask what you want to know. You will find a bunch of guys willing to help you. Please look thrrough the various threads to find a variety of answers to many issues. We like to see pictures of the old rifles and if you have diffculty posting, there are several members who can help get your pictures posted.
