New member looking for info

Been interested in the Model 8 for years. Stumbled into a supply of .30 ammo and now seriously looking for a gun. Want to learn as much as I can BEFORE I buy a new gun for a change.

Welcome! You have come to the right place! I am newcomer myself and came here to learn before I bought my first rifle. Very glad I did, there are folks here that can answer your questions and it's just a darn nice place to share the experience.
