Remington Sportsman (11) Vent Rib with Factory Cutts

I wanted an example of a Model 11 with a vent rib. They aren't extremely common. This one is has a factory installed (no chaoke marking on barrel) Cutts Compensator. This exact configuration model was used by Robert Stack (yes, the actor) in his younger days to win a Skeet Championship. I like the clay shooting games, and having this shotgun gives me a connection to those times.

Nice, Larry. Enjoyed seeing the photos of the 11C and the Model 25 on your other posts. That 11C is something else.Pretty wood. Glad you are taking the leap into reloading with the 25-20. The only way to go when shooting one of those, factory stuff way too expensive. Won`t be long and you will be reloading for other calibers if you aren`t already.

Larry,
I'm curious how well the Cutts helps. I've an old Lyman adjustable (with ports) choke I plan to put on an extra Savage 520 barrel after it's shortened to improve the swing. I think it would be very cool.

The Cutts gives great patterns. It can add length back to a shortened barrel. The Lyman chokes are good as well. There were several types of these early choke tubes. They worked pretty well, but weren't as pretty as the internal tubes that phased them out. Interestingly it took about 50 years before internal tubes became standard after these types of external tubes were being made.

I'd like to use a fibre optic front sight; I see them real good.
