My new Remington Model 141.

Post by iolhippie »

I recently purchased this Remington 141 in .35Remington cal. The date code on the barrel indicates June 1946 for mf.
This gives me 3 Model 8's, and this model 141. I have a question for anyone; this rifle has a Williams scope mount,
which requires the scope rings to have screw post mounts. Doe anyone know where such mounts may be found?
If the rings no longer exist, what is a good replacement for the mount? It also does not have a rear open sight,
where can one be found?

Thanks

I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

I bought a 32 141 at a auction some years ago, and I done nothing with it until I found ammo. What a shooter at 100 yards, on a bench, with open sight. 3 rounds in a 1 inch group... I was impressed... Im in love with the old 1941 gun It's almost nice of shape to take in the woods. Its almost perfect shape.

I love my 141 also. No longer able to hunt, but enjoy target shooting.
