Sorry for not being very active on the site lately, have been busy with the other 'toys' that I have in the closet.
Used a Savage Model 111 in .270 Winchester, Remington Core-Lokt 150 grain.
It was a really windy day, meaning that I went out to the deer blind expecting a couple hours of peace and solitude. I was in the blind less than 20 minutes when this guy sticks his nose, then antlers around the corner. Needless to say it was the antlers that got my attention. Within 5 minutes, he provided the "perfect broadside" to me, one I wasted no time on.
He was 105 lbs dressed and hanging down at the local processing plant. Not too shabby for a Texas whitetail.
