First Hunt,First Shot,First Deer for a nine year old

Post by Sarge756 »

This is the newest member of our hunt club "Duval Lawmen" Jacksonville,FL. Pictured with his dad Brad Hudson, is very proud nine year old Bryce. They worked very hard for this nice buck. They were in the stand before daylight, took a short break for lunch then climbed back in it and stayed till dusk. The buck came up from behind them and Bryce took a shot that would test an experienced hunter.First hunt ,First shot and First deer. I`m afraid he is spoiled now.He wanted to go again the next morning so he could get another one.We tried to tell him that it doesn`t always work out that way. Don`t think you`ll ever see a bigger smile on a third-grader`s face.Dad is smiling pretty good too.

Indeed. Way cool - a shot of a lifetime!

Hey Bryce,

What a wonderful experience to be with your Dad when you shot your first deer. I can see by your expression how happy you were and your Dad looks pretty happy also. I think is is fantastic that you and your Dad can get out and have some good time together. I am sure we will be seeing more pictures when we see your next successful hunt. Good job Bryce and thanks to your Dad for sharing the experience.

Regards,

Jack

Congrats to dad and son for putting one in the freezer!

There's nothing like seeing the face of your son when he shoots his first buck! (I know, I've got two sons)<grin>
