Jack London author of The Call of The Wild

Post by big al »

Hello
After reading the Biography of Jack London and seeing a pic of him with his model 8 which is pic 18 in this post I Searched online and found the photos.
They are in The Jack London online Collection
london.sonoma.edu
Then 7 down to images, the London Family,Jack London and pics 18,27,and 35 show him with his MODEL 8
Since I can not get these links to work.

Thanks for sharing. Really interesting to learn more of the history surrounding
the model 8.
Got to add in the photo of Mr. London holding his model 8, that rifle apears to be new.
Sure wish I had some kind of "time machine" or "warp traveler" like on star trek.
I'd go back and grab that rifle :D

Gotta wonder where it is now?

Nice looking rat terrier in picture #3....I raised rat terriers for a few years....own the last two of the pups that I produced.....they are a great pleasure to me when I am hunting.

Now this is cool stuff! Thanks for sharing the vintage photos. How great to see the old 8 with it's owner, Mr. London! This is some of the best historical evidence to help show their popularity with prestigious folks of the day!
