Standard Arms model G

Post by ROBOPUMP » Wed May 24, 2017 9:31 pm

I just bought a Standard Arms model G in 30 Rem. This is suppose to be the first gas operated semi-automatic in the US. It is very unique in that the gas operation can be closed and the rifle can be operated as a slide action(pump). Do any of you guys have any information on these firearms. They were manufactured in the popular 35 and 30 REM calibers and only about 7000 were made.

Thank you for your time.

ROB have you checked out John Henwoods 8/81 book on them? I know he's got a little info in there.
