I just received my 30 Remington dies. Loaded up a minimum charge of LVR under 150 Gr. RN. I am excited to see if my 1918 model 8 will run. My wife thinks I am crazy but I am stupid happy to make obsolete ammo and hunt with a 99 year old rifle.

There is something about hunting with these Remingtons. I hunted in Texas this year with my Model 8 made in 1912, also in 30. In 2015, I took one of the biggest racked bucks I've ever shot with my 1950 Remington 81 in 30. This year, my newly acquired 1918 Model 8 in 32 Rem will be accompanying me. It, unlike my 1912 model 8, has a perfect bore and shoots very good. I've had good luck with Lever in the 30, 32, and 35 Remingtons as well as my Marlin 30/30, it meters like a dream!. Give the Hornady FTX bullets a try, both my Model 8's really like them.
