Tang sight Trouble
Recently installed a lyman tang sight on my model 8 in .35 Rem. It shoots about 6" to the right @ 100yd. everything seems tight and 6" is too far off to drift the front sight over without it being too far out of the dovetail slot. looks like I may have to put the standard iron sights back on! anyone else have this issue?
Re: Tang sight Trouble
Nothing unusual about tang sight shooting left or right in my experience. Put some shims under one side or the other of the base. Strips cut from aluminum cans work for me. Trial and error method. Make sure you have enough ammo when you go to the range.

Or some plastic shim stock, most machine supply houses stock it. Works real well, and can't scratch up blueing or a stock.
I suggest .001, .002, .005, and .010, the stock usually comes in letter size sheets.

I used the brass strip that comes in an AR15 stripper clips under the peep sight on The Bride.
