.30 Cases from Buffalo Arms

Post by jim18611865 »

Did any of you guys try to load these yet?
Mine came yesterday, and the first thing I did was attempt to put it in the shell holder (#19).
They won't go in.
I didn't try my Dillon yet.

They should fit any shell holder that will fit a .40 s&w.

They are Starline .38-55 cases.
Some of the ammo I purchased with my rifle was .38-55 Win cases.
I have a Lee set of case holders. They fit in #1 (38/357 shell holder) but not in #19 which is the correct case holder.
Comparing them to some of my other cases, they are .003 larger in diameter, and .005 thicker rims.

They fit in the rcbs #19, my Lee #19 shellholder can sometime fit a shell so I end up using the Lee #1 but you will need to put a shim under the case as it can mar the top of the extractor groove
