Well....

After looking a little closer at these 25 Rem that are up for sale, I have some questions, observations and comments.

By the number of bids being levied on these three 25's, they must be quite rare. Are they hard to find? And, secondly, why are they so prized?

The first one has the most bids, and is commanding quite a premium price. Have the bidders taken a magnifying glass and looked at the edges of this rifle? I looks like it was buried, and dug up , and barely wiped off. Or does that matter? I guess anything can be cleaned up with a little work.

The second one is a spitting image of my Grandpa's 30 Rem. Same butt plate, Marbles peep, and the 25 Rem stamp on the barrel. (It was later re-bored out to 30 Rem). (I have tried several times to post pictures to the forum, but can't quite figure out how to get the pictures re-sized small enough.) I really like the character of the second rifle.

The third rifle is by far the cleanest, and unmolested or abused of the three. It appears to be a very plain basic rifle. Other than the dent in the barrel shroud, a nice representation!!!

Just some thoughts,

Clint
