uhjohnson, that is a cool looking vintage picture. Just like you quoted sir..."You don't pay too much, you pay too soon". If you take a few moments of your time, you can search the internet and find all kinds of cool/vintage pictures and get them for free!

Cam, Do you know what make the scope is on the Hillis rifle? I have an early Wm.Malcolm scope that I`ve held on to with thought in mind of mounting it on one of my 8`s. Had also considered it for one of my Ross 1910 Sporters to make a "Joe Kidd" look alike.
Yes there are photos out there on the net. Take a look at below link.Several 'Springpoles' pictured.Looking at these old photos and the way the hunters are dressed is something. How did they take all those animals without camo and modern gadgets? If there is any doubt that our old rifles are up to the task this should settle that question.
