Tx Whitetail Doe

Post by tx81 »

Shot a Tx Whitetail Doe this week using Model 81 in .300 Savage.
Sorry I don't have a photo of the rifle used as well.
Rifle is a November 1949 manufacture Model 81 with a simple 4X Weaver scope.
It was a favorite of my grandfather's when he was alive.

Now how do I go about posting a picture here in this forum?
Is this right?

You got it, picture came through fine. Thanks for sharing it, had to be a thrill using Grandpa's gun.

Great job! The generous late doe and spike season in Texas is in full swing for another week plus. I'm taking s similar 81 in 300 Savage next week for the task. Hopefully I'll have a matching photo to yours.

Late doe/spike season officially ended here on the 16th for the county I live in here in Central Texas. Y'all must have an over-abundance (as if that's really a word) of does/spikes for your season to be extended that far.

Good Luck and Good Hunting!
