Old rifle still knocks them down!

I bought this rifle last yr...mfg date 1912. It may be old..but it sure knocked this deer back and dropped him in his tracks 100 yds

Its at 35 Rem caliber. My sons laugh at me when I call it OL Thumper!... but this deer was knocked 3ft backward and dropped... This was a 12 ptr taken in Scott Co Indiana
