Blue Book Values

I was wondering about the blue book values for the 8 and 81 that is listed on this forum. its going on five years old how often are those figures updated and by whom what is considered when values are adjusted for current times. Obviously condition and grade are the key factors for value but do these rifles gain any value as their age goes up.
