i just picked up my 1st model 8 in 32 caliber it came with 5 boxes of remington ammo in perfect shape can i tell when it was manufactured my the serial number 34633 i cannot wait to take it to the range

If the ammo is new old stock I suggest you not fire it. You will split the necks and shoulders. You will most certainly lose several on the first firing. You may even have them all split. I suggest you pull the bullets, de-prime and send to somebody to anneal the necks. Look on line to find people who anneal. It is cheap and will save you cases. This is a must if the cases are 30 Or 40 years old.

If the ammo is in green/white or green/yellow boxes (Remington) I would shoot it.
