B&C buck with model 8 ?

I think I remember seeing one time (here?) that there is still a big Whitetail deer listed in the B&C record books which was taken by a Remington model 8 (back when they kept track of the guns that took trophy animals). Does anyone have any info on that? It would be fun to know.
