Operating the Marbles' Tang Sight

Post by ODA 564 »

How do you open and close the sight? My new (to me) Marbles' tang sight was locked down. I loosened the side screw, but now I think I screwed up. The instructions say nothing.

push the tang sight down towards the stock to release tension on the spring and underneath is a tab you pull out tang will then pop up .to close push tang back down and push tab back in good luck.

I have one that I soak in Kroil's to get it to work, still the tab is a pain to push in and pull out. But, they are stout if you need to do a little convincing.

Brilliant.

That's what I figured out. I was just sort of taken back by the need to slide the release forward. Seems a bit of extra work if Mr. Bear is trying to eat you....
