model 8 full pistol grip

Post by ranman »

I have a model 8 trigger plate assembly that has a full pistol grip. It is serial number 5936 and has no side springs, and the mag has matching number on it. Would this be factory ? It shows no marks from bending or heat so it looks factory. I thought model 8s only came with half pistol grips or straight stocks. I should add that the magazine well has no slots in it for springs so it would not be from a model 81.
thanks

They made full pistol grips during this era also. It is probably a factory 8 based on your description and the fact you indicate it is without magazine springs.

Ranman-- do you have the ability to post a photo of that trigger plate? I'm really interested in rare options. Thanks for your time.---Roger

Roger : Here are some photos of the trigger group I have. I put a regular pistol grip with the full pistol grip in the first pic for comparison.
Thanks

Ran man, thanks for the pics. Very cool. I've never seen a full pistol grip trigger plate m-8. It looks completely different than the m-81. Thanks again---Roger
