Lyman and/or Marbles peep sight

Post by ctgodog »

This is very odd, and the first time I have seen this...

Were these sights designed to be mounted both ways?....Or does this guy just not have a clue???

First glance would say it's too tall to be effective and that it would not fold down but..? Wonder if it does indeed work? Or was it just mounted for the pictures.

Howsbout the folding down part, wonder if it does?
And, what model numbers is on the on the bottom?
A lot of these were filled for better fit, wondering if this was filed to fit there.

Interesting for sure. Nice starting price for a "what the heck bid" can't imagine that attitude making "reserve" though.

I cast one vote for "No clue".

I emailed him and told him it was upside down...he said he was wondering why it didn't fit very well. Figured it was for a different rifle or something. He was grateful for the information and immediately fixed the problem. It looks a lot better now.
