35 REM What model and year?

Post by john43554 »

My inlaws gave me a gun for christmas. It says 35 REM and the seriel is stamped

F
233 29
K (with a circle around it)

Didn't find this number on the info page? What model and year do I have?

Thanks
John

Cool, what a great gift. Welcome.
Pictures would help, lots of 35Rem models.

john,

Sounds like your serial number is 23329. That would put your rifle's manufacture in 1911. The worn but present "cheeks" on your stock correspond with this. Nice looking old "springpole" you got there!

Wow an oldie but a goodie. I ran 2 rounds thru it today, what a beast this 35 rem is, I like it :) Didn't seem to kick as bad as I thought it was going to. Its not a trophy piece and was definitely a shooter over the years, so I'll have to keep shooting it lol
