Adam,
I had seen the picture you posted of General Barton. He was a tough old rascal. I bought a June '43 Winchester M1 last week; trying to get all correct accessories together. Keep your eyes open. Thanks.

Considering everything else, I thought the rifle was worth the money had the stock not been cut.

Garand scabbard
I need a WWII M1938 leather carrying scabbard for the Garand rifle. Must be ORIGINAL 1942 or 1943 (prefer '43), in good condition and complete with both leather straps and metal snap hooks. Premium paid for Schoellkopf manufactured. Contact me at 979.224.0095. Thanks. Also, still looking for Remingt...

Model 8D
Saw a nice straight stock Model 8D, 4-digit s/n, in .25-35 at Dallas Arms Show yesterday. Metal looked good with
original finish. Checkering looked good ... cut stock with kickpad not good. Too bad.

Re: Going old School this Deer Season Pics
I've probably seen 12-15 original boxes (no reloads) of .30 Remington over the past four or five months in my little
corner of the world. Seems to run $40 or so. Is that too much? Probably be a lot in Tulsa this weekend.

Jack,
What's with the two magazines? Is one shorter? Are both serialized to the rifle?

Re: Jack1653's latest acquisition
Hey Jack, I was just curious about the barrel date code since we know several of the L A rifles were early 1942. If you feel too bad about this being a '42, you can sell it to me. It will look good next to its younger brother (I can own the magazine in Texas). Then you will have even more incentive ...

Imfuncity,
The rifle could have stayed in California. One of us in another state would have held the magazine for you.

Re: Bonnie and Clyde display
Only five guns are shown on the car. There were six posse members. Alcorn is holding a model 8, not a shotgun. Hinton took a M1918 Browning Machine Rifle to the killing. The Colt Monitor R80 in Waco is worth much more as having allegedly belonged to Hamer (just ask Joaquin), even though it has to ra...

Re: FRANK HAMER'S RIFLE - VIDEO
Today marks the seventy-ninth anniversary of Bonnie and Clyde's last ride. Three or four Model 8 rifles were used in the ambush (definitely by Oakley and Alcorn, probably by Hamer and Gault). The most documented rifle, a .35 used by Bienville Parish Deputy Sheriff Prentiss Oakley, allegedly fired th...

Hey Fun,
I'm chronic ... kinda' like Jack.
I knew this for certain when I realized the little rifle I bought two weeks ago was one that I had spent
13 years looking for.
There was an extra 0 there too. You know ... you never know.

Hey Folks,
I am looking for Model 8, s/n 65852. This is (or was) a POE rifle and may or may not have a 15 round magazine.
I am also wanting to buy a Remington Model 11 and Remington Model 31 factory-made Police Gun.
Thanks for your help,
