Re: Model 141 - .35 Rem
Well,...due to the interest created by this conversation about 14's and 141's, I have been looking for them on auction sites (purely on a research interest). I have found a few in varying conditions. Some nice and some not so nice. I stopped in at the Springfield, Or., Cabella's to pick up some need...

Disassembly and reassembly of the Model 8
Well,......I spent the day correcting a mistake on my part with my Grandpa's M8 30 Rem. I tried to remove one of the side screws, without disassembling the rifle in the correct manner, and released the bolt carrier latch. Had to take it completely apart and learn how to reassemble all the parts in t...

Once I got the scope on the paper and zeroed in, the grouping was 2-3" , and I am OK with that. It will hit the kill zone!!! I am not really looking for a competition grouping. Just get the meat on the ground.... The open sights were right on target with even a little tighter grouping.

Nice rifle from early production....stock looks great. I have been very happy with Bob's stock work...I had to replace the fore arms on my Grandpa's 1911 and my 1907 30 Rem's.
How come you had to replace the stock on this one? Just curious.

It is a 1" Weaver, 10" long. It is mounted with Weaver scope rings, and a two thumb screw detachable Weaver side mount. It is actually a very nice setup. It is clean, simple, and low profile.

Well, I have solved the scope problem by moving the scope forward in the mounts, so that the scope adjustment knobs are forward of the front mount.
