If we are looking at the same auction on fleabay it doesn`t appear that the R6 has a windage adjustment.The R6 and Lyman 1A are almost identical in construction.I have seen a stem that has lateral (windage) adjustment but believe it was made by Marlin.Don`t know if that stem would be interchangeable...

Jack, The description of the mounts you gave should be a 7/8 inch mount for the Alaskan.The one inch mount is possible for a Texan.Norman Ford made a "Texan" model with a one inch tube. I think old Norman was pretty good at copying what was successful in the market. His one inch tube model...
