If that's no big deal, then finding a magazine is the first step, and biggest hurdle. Expect to pay between $800-1000 for a magazine alone. There are a co...

The original Police guns are pricey no doubt, but if you can locate a vintage 15 round magazine I'm sure Pete Verschneider would be happy to build one for you for a fraction of the cost. prverschneider@energysolutions.com P.S. You're sure all components of the barrel assembly are intact? recoil spring? buffer spring? You may want to check the action spring located in a tube in the stock and perhaps the link attached to the bolt carrier. Just sounds like either there's no force pushing the bolt carrier rearwards or there's...

the earlier extractors as far as I can tell were straight and smooth across. The ones on late Model 8's and many 81's were scalloped like you say, though I've seen some straight too. It's been discussed before, extractors for 35 and 300 can either be unmarked or marked "35". So if one had ...

the "MODEL 8" receiver markings started in the mid 1920's. The first ones still had the serial number stamped on the bottom of the receiver, then later the serial number ended up on the side with the "MODEL 8".

the picture makes it look like a cracked barrel? What looks like 1 piece is actually a 2 piece barrel assembly. The barrel screws into the barrel extension (the blocky breech part). I have no clue as to what the "6" signifies.
