Just pulled out one of my anthropology books. Looks like it may be Indo-Aryan numerals. Is there a 5, 4, and possibly a 2 in the serial?

The ears on the .308/.30 '06 strippers are a bit anemic. Also, you may have to remove a tiny bit of material to have smooth functioning. See thread in General.

The proof is in the pudding, or so they say. This 5.56 stripper has not touched the mandrel, but has only had one of the UMC factory cases passed through. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g27/aguy123/0928112046.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g27/aguy123/0928112047.jpg http://i52.photobucket....

I'll open it up to any caliber. I may not be able to slip an outright purchase past the budget committee, so if anyone has one of their "parts" guns they would like to part with, I have a nice Winchester 1893, et. al to trade. May be able to sneak some cash as well.

Re: .25/.30/and .32 strippers.
Since I have neither the time or resources to make a quantity of them, as you all can tell seeing as it has been so long, I will tell how my final product was assembled. On the original, I merely folded over the lips on the .308 charger, on the final I dremeled them off to give a little more room to...

So I finished turning my new firing pin a few moments ago. While I know I should have waited until I heat treated it, I couldn't resist giving it a shot with one of the super colibris Mitch sent. :D So now I have to shape the spur I cut off off an old Stevens hammer and braze it to the block. I supp...

Everyone take a Valium and calm down. I reload, and I'm not particularly excited. However, many forum members do not, and the price for good factory paper punching ammo is cheaper than buying reloads from Buffalo, et al.

I'm thinking it was due to where they came from. If the previous owner constantly brought them in and out of his hunting cabin in northern Wisconsin, condensation inside the jacket would be a major issue.

On agenda:
1. Cut spur off of whatever hammer I can locate in parts bin and braze to block.
2. Locate suitable firing pin, or turn one myself. (Don't really have time for latter.)
3. Ask random folks for finish suggestions to replace peeling plating...
