That may be a rifle I considered buying it sure looks familiar.... if it's the same gun and at the same shop it's been around awhile. I balked at importing it for time, cost, and hassle.

Maybe, I am looking at this rifle with an eye more as a collectible than a shooter. I still see a high 90% condition 8 that would be somewhat hard to upgrade and should sell for a premium dollar. Mitch, you say you would sell a few for that price leading me to believe you have some high condition 8'...

I don't think the price is crazy stupid but I would like to see a few more pics. I think finding really clean 8's with little wear are tough >>> as far as getting a decent looking D grade for that price >>>> sign me up.

Nice vid and good shooting. The loosening of the takedown screw will continue if you keep using it to hold the sling .... while it looks like it was made to hold a sling >>> it is for take down only.

Terran, congrats on your new rifle. The gun looks like it has not had a lot of use :D . As I suspected the toe has been chipped and repaired. I think you should be able to find a picture of the buttplate you have unaltered in the Model 8 Gallery pics.
The damage to the toe and the repaired crack in the forend will hurt the value quite a bit.
