Be sure to fire form the necked down cases. I use 10g of unique with a medium weight bullet in this size case for forming. It will help you avoid too much headspace.

Ten Ring, Just had another possibility. (SMACKO) With the safety lever down, look inside the slot in the receiver for the OpHandle. You should see the rocker down out of the way. If it's up and behind the bolt that's it! The lever could have come loose from it's shaft and allowed the rocker inside t...

It's a Physics matter, the delayed movement of the buttplate is softened by the movement of the barrel/bolt assembly. You get the same energy transfer over a longer time. Thus it feels lighter. The effect is felt with A5 shotgun when the friction piece is set up right. To get definitive difference s...

Jim, Outside neck turning will help some. Use care, if you trim too much the sizer die will not give you enough neck tension to hold the bullets. Especially if you find some jacketed. The turning can contribute to accuracy, too. Inside reaming often runs off center in the brass. An option is to get ...

There is another small difference in the bolts and extractors. Some of the "35" extractor claws are curved some are straight. Most I've seen are straight. The bolt itself differs between the 35Rem and 300Sav; the recess in the bolt for the case head is about .006 larger OD for the 300Sav. ...

Roger,
You are so right
Many don't know how little difference the size of the peep makes. When you do the Trig and figure it out.
If however you shoot at ranges more than 200yds it can be more significant.

Re: Peep up or down
I would suggest raising the rear sight; start small to see how much it moves. Not more than a half a turn.
My son has developed a liking for the peep sights, he shoots tighter groups.
Remember the small apertures are for full sun, and will fade out at dusk.

Charlie, A good group at that range for iron sights. I'm curious, did you weigh the finished bullets after the tip modification? Differing weights could very well cause the horizontal stringing on the target, if grouped by weight you may get a lot tighter groups. From experience you can get one ragg...
