I've checked out the usual places for parts and haven't found the plunger yet.

Incase you didn't see I recommend using 90 degre snap ring pliers for the bushing.

OK that is helpful. Let me play with this a little more and I might need your help again. Yes, I did buy one yesterday. Honestly, I thought I was going to buy for a parts gun, but ended up paying way more than I wanted to. At this point, I may keep it and turn it into a functional rifle. I see that...

Re: Operating Handle Bushing Removal

90 degreee snap ring pliers have done the trick for me, to snug the bushing.

I believe there's a plunger or 2 available between gunbroker & ebay.

Ok, congrats. You just won another one at auction yesterday?

Is there enough material to grab it with pliers?

This doesn’t happen to be the the one that just went on gunbroker?

Take your time and learn the procedures before you tear into it all. Lots of good info and knowledge here.

Sorry to hear you're having problems. That's an issue that I haven't heard about yet. I assume the problem with the bolt rotating in the lug isn't due to being dirty/build up. There isn't any deformation or burrs where it would cause issue? Do you have another example to compare the parts side by si...

Follow up- The sling on this rifle was very dry when I took ownership. A few applications of neatsfoot oil over the course of 7-10 days brought it back into service. The sling still faintly retains original stampings "Hickok 1943". I couldn't find anything about the leather brand online. P...

Looking for a Peters 25 Remington 117 grain box of ammo "ammo and or brass optional". I'm looking to fill a void in my cartridge box collection. I'd prefer the end flaps to be present. I'm not necessarily looking for a brand new looking box, but I don't want an ugly tore up one. Thanks gen...

Great to hear it's back as it should be, all that it needed was cleaned out. The bolt can move in the carrier and make difficult to mate the the barreled assembly on at times. I always leave the bolt forward when i take the rifle down, it hasn't given me issue yet. Look forward to hearing a positive...

Re: Bolt not locking back when I pull the bolt back

Is the bolt lock back fixed now?

Atleast one of mine needs solid pressure pushing together for the stock screw to align. Be very careful not to crossthread that screw.

Take your time and be in the right mindset, you'll get it.

If you so choose, it wouldn't be hard to remove the blue from either of those so it looks more correct.

81 receiver and barreled assembly with model 8 trigger guard and stock set. The safety appears to have been repaired. It's a straight gripped shooter.

The magazine is universal "25-30-32-35-300" as far as what I've seen, along with what's in the parts list. The side spring/side springs would possibly need some adjustment to hold the rounds appropriately. The cost of a complete magazine isn't very cheap. If you look at the big picture of ...

Nothing particularly weird, missing magazine aside. You have a repair code "due to the 3" on your barrel shroud. I don't see a production code present, not terribly uncommon. Nice score! I can't see the rest of the rifle, but I likely would've picked it up for that price. Fortunately, with...

I assume they're not southern enough to be eating sage? Is it that Mule deer are more game(y) than whitetail deer?
