roger maybe you can get a move started to change things. i would point to states like mine, our season is long and the deer population is still very good but in control. also i would contact the insurance companies, they have to pay the claims. who knows? maybe you can get some momentum started in t...

well hold on to your remington! here in sc on private land we have the longest deer season in the world. from aug 15-jan 1 limit on bucks is 2 per day no total limit. we also need no tags at all. we have 12 days that you can kill does with no tags. if you want you can buy 4 tags for does so you can ...

i don't use this load in a model 8, i use it in a 99 savage. 42 gr. of varget with a 150gr. rem. cl and a standard primer. it is a tack driver. also if i wont to use a 165 gr. sierra gkhp i drop it to 41 gr. deer deadly!

i know this is an old post but in my 30 rem. model 14 carbine it is at it's best with blc2 powder.

i don't have a model 8 in 30 i have a 32 rem. in a model 8 but i do have a 30 rem in a model 14 carbine and it is a real shooter with blc2 cast or jackets.

thanks for all the nice comments, when i saw the wood on the gun in the pawn shop you could just faintly see the grain under decades of crud. i striped the finish with furniture striper, and very lightley roughed up the wood with 320 grit. and used truoil. kendall what load do you use in your 32? my...

i have a 1928 8 in 32 rem. i shoot only cast. i killed a deer last season with it. i use 30 gr. of imr 4895 with a rcbs 170 gr. this thing is extreemly accurate with this combo. i use 50% ww and 50% soft lead. i clean after 10-20 shots with no leading at all.

i grew up coon huntin here in s.c. it was my daddy's life! he would hunt all nite then come home clean up and go to work. if he had no one to go with him he would go alone. on weekends i would be with him. i know all about hounds....
