FN 1900 with detachable mag
Here are some pics of my FN. It has a very low serial number (255) and a detachable mag and a recoil pad. Could this be factory? This is my first attempt at attaching pictures. Hope this is okay. http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/ii634/ranman50/browningfn018.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums...

It shows no marks from bending or heat so it looks factory. I thought model 8s only came with half pistol grips or str...

It is nice to see these old relics come back to life. I think you have a dandy and will have lots of fun putting lead downrange with that one. Like everyone says they are addictive. Welcome to the club.

mag spring for model 8
Can anybody tell me how to make a magazine spring for a model 8 ? I just aquired one that would not feed right ,and as it turned out has a 3 leg spring from a model 81 installed . I swapped springs from another model 8 ( correct 5 leg ) and it works great. Now I need a correct spring. Thanks

I think your site is a great source of information on these fine old rifles, so I thought I should join. I have used these guns for years and really enjoy them. Thanks everybody.
