Gents,
I really support the hog hunting. They are Not what anyone would call natural wildlife.
Just be sure to carry a BIG 45 or 44 for emergencies. Please be careful.

Re: Remington Model 14 in 25 Remington

There's a great 25Rem article in Ken Waters "Pet Loads" book from Wolfe publishing. Honestly the old Handloader issues are an stellar resource. If you can't find them at the used book stores, they can be bought on CD from the Publisher.
WalyWorld and Barnes and Noble carry the latest issues.

Re: Let's revitalize the 30 Remington (Not AR)

Sarge, I know accuracy and point of aim are issues with these as any rounds. However, My (mine) Dad's 06 M760 will mess up a milk jug at 300 paces, the 30-06 Accels would group in under a quarter at 100yds. My 308 semi auto will group under a quarter at 75 yds with iron sights. ;) And hit ...

Let's revitalize the 30 Remington (Not AR)

Ladies and Gents, Let us start a project to jump start a rejuvenated 30 Remington interest. I submit there could be a lot of usefulness for a rimless cartridge that duplicates 30-30 ballistics. A 110 gr pill makes a good varmint round, the 150 gr is a great all around medium range solution, plus I h...

The bolt lock spring rides over 2 small sections of key in the receiver housing. This spring locks the rotating part of the bolt open and closed until the the spring is depressed in the bolt carrier. Then the bolt can rotate. If your spring is worn or the keys are worn this would allow the bolt to g...

Pistol grip blues

Hi all, just fixed a problem on an early Model 81. The dread tang screw doesn't want to fit right. This usually causes galled threads and or a bad screw slot. Plus the angle hole in the recoil tube can get messed up. Check this: see if the recoil tube is bottoming out in the stock. A couple of...

Pitchy,

I like the ones with saddle rings. Nice forearm too, a little trueoil might make the grain pop. ;) Course you could prefer the factory finish.
