Rob, I agree with you in principle; while we diverge from topic at times it is courteous to return to the main discussion. However, I also support minor side tracks in our forum. It makes for a very active and cool chat. I see other forums that languish for months or years without any comments; they...

Re: New Model 81 Owner

Range Report. I fired a few rounds at 50 yards to make sure the sights we ok, then I moved the target back to 100 yards. Off bags I can keep the groups to about three inches, which is pretty good with irons and an unfamiliar gun. As I shoot it more, I think the groups will get smaller. ckmorley One...

Mine is the 8th ed. It has 25 Rem, 30Rem, 35Rem, & 300 Sav articles written by Ken Waters.
They are very detailed discussions of loads and issues for each cartridge. Very thorough.
I;ll have to get back to you on the 32Rem, It's a little more obscure.

I have one of those Nikons, a very nice scope for a reasonable price. Just a comment, for these rifles the lower power optics make a lot of sense. Ten Ring, You don't have to do that yet. We can see the "rocker" inside the slot in the receiver. Try a small screwdriver or lever to push the rocker down. Another option is to remove the safety lever screw and see if the shaft moves separate of the shaft. Aligning the lever and the rocker...
