Re: Model 10 Barrel adjustment bushing removal tool?

Well, I'm no rocket scientist and certainly not a machinist - but I bet I can figure out a way to make or modify something to act as a removal tool to get the adjustment bushings out of my Model 10 receivers. Once I figure it out, I'll get back and report on my progress. Hope it's not in two years -...

Model 10 Barrel adjustment bushing removal tool?

Guys, I've been keeping my Model 10 Remington on the far back burner with it being stripped down to a nice pile of parts in the "tool shed", so to speak. The major issue for the shotgun is its barrel adjustment bushing - I believe that's the right name - which is a critical part for Model ...

Time for a long-delayed follow up to this epic story! First off: the Stevens 20 gauge had been working just fine, it was "user confusion" that caused my troubles. I did not understand that when these Stevens 620's are loaded, the shell rests underneath the lifter instead of remaining compl...

Re: Important Safety Tip for model 14

I had built some loads for my trusty model 8 in .25. I used the Hornady 117 gr Spitzer bullet, which functioned excellently and grouped pretty well, and so, figured I, these ought to work in the model 14 I just picked up from Gunbroker. I've got to do this very same "trick" to my 1939 Model 81 - it also is almost impossible to replace the stock tang screw and I bet the recoil spring tube isn't given enough "room" in the buttstock channel either.

Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the "reality check" Carl - figured that the bolt face would be different once I looked at it and measured, but wasn't sure about it. So, the bolt extension or bolt itself - not the entire bolt carrier assembly - is one of three unique bolt face dimensions. Got it! There's a .35 ...
