ranman,
Nice find congrats. the rifle appears to be in very nice condition. I do not believe the FN's came tapped for the tang sights like the Rem's did. I think the front sight is a replacement also .... not trying to drop a turd in the punch bowl cuz I sure would love to find one like it. Dennis

Hi Cam, the picture is not dated. The picture is also unique in the fact that it measures only 2 1/4 X 3 1/8 in. The smallest I have ever run across in my dealings with antique pictures .... you are more than welcome to use the pic in the gallery. Dennis
P.S
What's your opinion of the sights ??

Kinda weird Model 8 shooter pic ...
Bought this original pic awhile ago. I couldn't quite figure out what was being depicted until it arrived and I could scan it and enlarge. The guy has a nice early Model 8 ... odd sights .... . The weird thing is if you look close at the top of the piece of wood laying on top is a figurine/carving ?...

I have my doubt's about the above Model 8' case colors being actual heat treated CC. I also have an interest in old sidexside shotguns that were almost always case colored. The case colors are only on the surface and very fragile and wear off easily. I have seen a BUNCH of fake colors applied with a...

I was able to recently add this early D Grade in 25-35 to my collection. I especially like it for the caliber and that this vintage of rifle does not have the magazine side springs giving it a cleaner look. I hope you enjoy the pics.
