the model 8 in question is a 1907 serial number 4187 1) barrel jacket head has "XA3" stamp on the side and 4187 on the bottom 2)barrel jacket address is two even lines on top that starts about 1 1/2 inches in front of the forearm and runs back to just in front of the rear sight. the Reming...

is there suppose to be another serial number just in front of the receive on the barrel collar and at the distance the photo was taken, it appears the forearm tip has been worked on

i have 100 rounds of cast bullets .35 (brinell 15) in both 194 and 213 grains and have 10 pounds of IMR 4895 not H 4895 . i found this load in a handloaders magazine for a 200 grain round nose (i suspect this is for a jacketed bullet). they only show MAX 36.5gr. @2050. can i use 10 percent less safe...

how does one distinguish between the grade A and B 81 they have? is the gun stamped? i see the difference in the higher grades
