Re: 8 0r 81 s peep sight?

Yes, Pack is correct. The Williams 5D-SSM is correct for your 8/81 rifle. I got one some time back for my 81.

Re: The Inventor

Very interesting info, Pack. JMB is arguably the greatest firearms designer that ever lived. His creations have had more influence on firearms design and manufacture that any other person. He also did it without the aid of computers, CAD software, CNC machining centers, modern steels, etc. Simply am...

Re: Charger clips

Shooter, First, welcome to the forum. Your Model 81 is a fine looking rifle. I'll bet your grandfather would approve! :D What cartridge is it chambered for? Mine is in 300 Savage and I love that rifle. If you are looking for stripper clips, check out Bob's Gun Parts in Royal, AR. Just google it. The...

Yup, I've got to agree with 81 Police, that top one is NICE. All those fine rifles look "experienced." Thanks for sharing. I have a real "thing" for the Remington pump guns. My Model 141 and 121 are favorite woods companions.

Re: Model 81 Bobcat

Richard,

That is a large bobcat. In all my years of hunting, I've not taken a bobcat. We do have them here in southeast Tennessee, and I've seen a number of them, but not while hunting.
