Split washer in barrel assembly

I just disassembled my 30 rem barrel assembly to a recent purchase because the barrel appeared not to extend past the barrel nut enough and to make sure everything was there. Everything was there, well lubed, including a split washer that is not supposed to be there, I left it out upon reassembly. W...

The seller claims this is an unaltered 2nd year model 8, tell me if I am correct in what I see wrong, all in all it is a nice gun but I don't think it's worth $1,100. The barrel jacket is wrong, i think it should have an 02 or 07 patent date. The magazine as well as the trigger guard should not have...

Stamp on barrel jacket ?

I just got this m8 serial number 25593 with a high patent date of 1902 (i think it is too early for the gun) and the barrel is marked 30-30Rem all in all the gun is in great shape for 310.00, no rust 85%, unmolested round knob.
