bolt won't release: I am a true noob!

Folks, I am honestly going to admit to my true noob status up front. Roger can certainly confirm this for everyone! So, here's why I am admitting that I am a Model 8 noob today. As excited as I was to receive the old gun from Roger, I could not help myself from beginning to strip it down once I had ...

Re: Thin the herd

You have two good points, Joe. I have been forever considering a C&R, yet never been in the position to have felt the true "need" for the license. Mainly it is because I have always maintained a low number of guns in my "collection" (which routinely seems to rotate over the years), and until the las...

Roger, As I've mentioned in my emails with you, I have gone through several weeks of very tough days at work. What a payoff to have acquired this old Model 8 from you - it is exactly what I had hoped for. Ironically, I won't have it in my hands (so to speak) until this evening. I was "delayed" Satur...

Gents, I will shortly be the proud owner of a Model 8, courtesy Roger's help - thanks, man! One of many questions that I will be sure to ask: can anyone on the forum snap some pics of their Model 8's barrel jacket, if yours is a later model 8 that is tapped for a sling mount screw? To piggyback on this topic - can military stripper clips of any type substitute for the .35 Remington factory jobs? Re: sources for springs of all types - ideas wanted

Well, since I surfed for spring parts that work on Remington 11/Browning A5/Savage 720 "Browning patent" shotguns, I found that between Brownell's and Numrich they have what you need. Brownell's will have springs for these under the Browning A5, while Numrich has them under Remington 11 and Browning...
