It would not have come from the Remington factory that way. It would be considered a parts gun, only because of the Model 8 receiver. We would hunt with it and really enjoy it!

The correct type of Williams Side Mount Screws needed for the Williams ( SM 81 ) side mount scope base, are the same screws used in the Williams ( SM 760 ) side scope mount.
