Wanted a standard style peep sight for my 81(Found one)

Someone drilled and tapped my 81 for a standard style peep sight, the holes measure 1 1/8th between centers. Any help determining what sight would fit it would be appreciated. I have a Pedersoli Vernier sight or a AR rear sight for trading stock. Or may be able to buy outright if the price is right....

Re: 81 Extraction issues

A couple observations after fussing with mine a few times. First the extractor needs to be adjusted so there is just enough tension to hold the case in the bolt but not so much tension it puts unnecessary drag on the bolt rotation. As far as the bolt hanging up and not rotating back to the vertical ...

I bought this old Howel Mill 25 years ago or so, it was just a pile of rusty steel so had to rebuild it. It has been fun and sawed a lot of lumber for us. Sawed a few logs of late, thought ya might enjoy the videos. Click on the pictures http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v629/InTheWind/sub%20album%2...

Ok, i took it all apart again and lightened the extractor pressure so there was a slight drag when pushing it and the bolt lock plunger in. Thanks for the link, yepper that`s how i thought it worked. The rotation of the bolt still confuses me, does it lock the barrel to the bolt? Or is that just a cushion effect on the shell when fired.
