Re: Hello from the northeastern woods! & rare case???

You don't see many cases like this. Truly made for the 81. I can attest to the weight issue and they are heavy. Good thing it wasn't built out of walnut because you would have to put wheels on it. I have a case made out of a single piece of wood but the owner made it for the rifle in the take-down m...

Hey Mikeshoe76, Great Question. I do not know the lowest serial number of a model 81, but will say I know of one lower than my number 25. It is one digit lower making it number 24. Re: Broken Action Spring Tube, ideas for removal ?

A couple of thoughts regarding the broken tube. How far down in the receiver is it broken off? If you can see it and it is close to the end you will have a better chance for removal of the broken piece. Soak it good with penetrating oil. If you can submerge the tube in a jar with the penetrating oil...

Hey darrylta,

Welcome to the "family" of springpole owners. You have a great looking POE rifle. Much cleaner than the average police model. The LA Sheriff's office had a bunch of these special rifles. Be sure to take it out and shoot it. It will rock you, just ask 81police.
