Nice job on the Model 11...I did the same to my Model 11, 12 gauge, that had the full choke cut of to 23". After refinishing the shotgun, I sent the barrel to a guy in California, and he installed screw in chokes for me. I love the way it looks and shoots.

I agree Cam....I have been shooting the BAR's for over 40 years....I do believe they are the modern version of the 8/81's!!! I would venture to say that 30-50 years from now, we will be collecting BAR's like we are the 8/81's now. I just hope I can still lift and shoot a gun at that age.....lol!!!! ...

Sighthound, You are correct....I have an American Browning 16 gauge with the solid rib barrel, and it has the safety at the rear of the trigger guard. Mitch, No need to draw the blood,....I know I have the JMB fever. Roger, Even my Rem Model 11, 12 gauge has the solid rib barrel. I think I like that...

When I first got my Model 81, in 35 Rem, it was doing the same thing....when I took it apart and put it in cocked mode, I could see that the trigger and the hammer were not meshing up right. A little filing work on the back side of the hammer, allowed them to hook up properly, and no more slam fires...
